The main types of temperature detection instruments include the following:
Thermocouple thermometers. These instruments measure temperature based on the thermoelectric effect. They operate by connecting a thermocouple to a temperature measurement system; heat from the source is converted into an electrical signal output, which is then used to determine the temperature value. These instruments are characterized by high measurement accuracy and good stability.
Resistance thermometers (RTDs). These instruments detect temperature by measuring how an object's electrical resistance changes with temperature. Resistance thermometers offer high measurement precision and stability and are widely used in various industrial temperature monitoring applications. Common types include copper resistance thermometers and platinum resistance thermometers.
Infrared temperature measurement instruments. These instruments operate on the principle that an object's infrared radiation energy is closely related to its surface temperature; they detect temperature by capturing and measuring the infrared radiation emitted by the object. Characterized by non-contact operation and rapid response times, they are widely used in fields such as industry and medicine.
Temperature indicators. These instruments directly display temperature values. They are often used in conjunction with temperature sensors to monitor and display temperatures in various industrial environments. Temperature indicators are intuitive and easy to read, allowing operators to conveniently observe and record temperature data.
